Writer's picture: The Sunshine BoxThe Sunshine Box

Today you have received a lavender bag handmade from Liberty of London William morris fabric. We've also added a little rice, so that you can use it as a handwarmer as well! If you love it, you can buy a boxed pair - somewhat fatter (as we had to slim down to fit into the advent box!) in a choice of fabrics - click here.

Lavender bags have been used for centuries – and there’s a good reason!

They have great benefits for your wellbeing as well as practical ones.

To use as a handwarmer – just pop in the microwave for a minute for a toasty, fragranced bag!

But more traditional uses inclkude:

In your wardrobe - keep clothes smelling fresh and pleasant, preventing musty odours and deterring moths and other insects.

In your car - put the bags on the dashboard or hang from the rearview mirror - lavenders natural relaxing properties can help you stay calm while driving in traffic or on long journeys.

With sheets and towels - keep linens smelling fresh and clean. You can place them between layers of linens or tuck them into pillowcases for a subtle, sweet scent.

For sleep - lavender has been shown to have a calming effect on the body and mind, making it an ideal ingredient to aid in sleep. Placing a lavender bag under your pillow or on your nightstand can help you relax and fall asleep faster.

In your work area - If you work from home or have a workspace that is often stressful, placing a lavender bag on your desk can help reduce stress levels. It can also help you focus better and improve your overall productivity.
